Beth Orton Picture
Perhaps best described as a folk/electronica artist, Beth Ortonwas born in East Dereham, Norfolk, and moved to East London at age 14. Orton found success as a musician late, having been more interested in acting during her early career. She first gained notice in 1995 for her vocals on The Chemical Brothers' track "Alive Alone" and is well known for her collaboration (stemming from a relationship) with William Orbitin which she lends her voice for the Strange Cargoalbums. The collaboration with Orbit named SuperPinkyMandy, though of excellent sound, was only released in very limited numbers in Japan. Orton's first solo album, Trailer Park, was released in 1996.

Release Me Lyrics

Beth Orton

That we must fly is a ? ? thing
And nothin can stay forever locked in
Ill take your blame like a ball and a chain
Ill wear it round my neck
I wont feel no shame
Breakin waves on the shore
It turned then fade once more
Release me from this love
If its ours itll come
Release me from this love
If its ours itll come
Release me
Release me from this love
Dont want no sympathy
Draggin me down
Makin me sorry
When we can wake up and see
All that we never knew to be
Breakin waves on the shore
It turned then fade once more
Release me from this love
(release me from this love)
If its ours itll come
Release me from this love
(set me free with your love)
If its ours itll come
Release me
Release me from this love
Breakin waves on the shore
It turned then fade once more
Release me from this love
(release me from this love)
If its ours itll come
Release me from this love
(set me free with your love)
If its ours itll come
Release me from this love
(release me from this love)
If its ours itll come
(release me from this love)
(set me free with your love)
If its ours itll come
Release me
Release me from this love
Release me
Set me free with your love
Yeah...
